Dan Brown's Open Letter to Educators

Let's get real here. I write a blog called Stay Out of School. Why? Years ago, as a recent college graduate, I read David Mamet's admonition to actors to avoid graduate school in his book True and False. I use the title just as much to be provocative as to sound the alarm about the state of education, particularly in the fields of creative and critical thinking. Some of the most fascinating thinkers, innovators, and businesspeople of our time are college dropouts...and yet, I still stress out when someone drops out of college.

Please spend six minutes of your time to watch the very sharp Dan Brown's video on higher education that I originally watched on elev8ted.org. I don't know what I think.

Perhaps I think 1000 things.
