Words on Our Wits & Thank You Notes

“Elizabeth traffics in smarts.”

Baratunde Thurston, Host of “America Outdoors” on PBS

“Elizabeth is a person who sees the future—who can describe it early and who can build a language that grounds its energy. The education landscape, along with the children, adults, and learning that inhabit it, need this futurism a great deal in this moment of high policy and vision friction.”

Derrell Bradford, President, 50CAN

[We] wanted to take a moment to thank you for all of the time you spent working with [our son]- we are extremely thankful that we were able to connect [him] to you. He gained the confidence and skill set needed to feel 100% prepared walking into the SAT. When I picked up [him] after the test I was greeted by someone who knew they had done well and was not second guessing any of his answers- this was such a relief! He felt really good and actually told me a couple of questions were things you had just worked 0n with him.

So a heartfelt thank you… it definitely could not have gone better and we could not be more pleased and satisfied with the work you did with him and of course the outcome!

“I cannot fully express how grateful I am to Elizabeth for her partnership. Her clarity, honesty, persistence and unrivaled organizational skills brought the best out in me. Elizabeth is an exceptional talent, like none I’ve ever seen, and I look forward to many more collaborations in the future. …Plus, she’s made me spit drinks through my nose in laughter.”

“You are the only person who has taught me anything worthwhile this year. Like at all.”

— pine crest school graduate, stern/nyu student

Thank you again, really, for everything. Your work with [our daughter] is so much more than this test and I am so very grateful!!! I know she will end up exactly where she belongs! You are truly a gift and a valued part of her growth, so thank you!!!

Our two children combined worked with Elizabeth for less than 20 hours [and both scored in the 99+ percentile on the ACT]. In that time, both our children received personalized, professional guidance and support in ways to best utilize their skills to obtain the best standardized score as possible. Elizabeth not only worked on testing strategies but got to know the personalities of our children to figure out the best way to guide them. Their sessions were used for test prep but they were also used to discuss ways to organize, reduce test taking stress, etc. Elizabeth was incredibly receptive and responsive to questions posted to her outside her sessions, and her responses to the children were supportive and encouraging. We would not hesitate to recommend Elizabeth to any family!

We’re enthusiastic.

This is a happy Oxbridge Academy mom. We can’t wait to text you like this, too.

We’re serious about education.

We’re super relaxed when we’re texting your kid. This Pine Crest student made us proud.

We go the extra mile.

This Pine Crest School student’s initial diagnostic was in the 44th percentile. No problem.

Sometimes it only takes six weeks of work.

A month or two of preparation made all the difference for this American Heritage student.

“In all honesty I never could have imagined that I’d learn the things I did from TUTORING. As corny as it sounds, you really taught me a ton about myself and brought my writing to a whole new level, far above the rest of my class. ”

— Austin D, University of Miami School of Medicine

“Sam got a 169 [out of 170] on his GRE and a perfect score on the Writing. OMG is right! It is really wonderful. I am very proud of Sam, of course, but need to tell you again that you are awesome! You had such patience and tenacity when you worked with Sam— not to mention your own talent— and perhaps most importantly, how much you care. We are very lucky to have found you and hope to stay in touch for a long time to come!!”

“I will never forget the call that I got from Elizabeth after only two sessions with my daughter. She had figured out her learning style as well as how to push her to be the most successful in her learning journey within those two sessions. I knew in that moment that we had made the right choice when we picked up the phone and called her to be our tutor.

Elizabeth tutored both of my kids. Aside from preparing them incredibly well for the ACT, she gave them confidence in subjects that they didn't realize they were capable of. It was so clear from day one that she cared deeply that my kids had the necessary knowledge to do well and the confidence that they CAN do it.

We were lucky enough to have Michael help our son. Michael figured out quickly that our son needed some extra support in reading comprehension and met with him regularly, pushed him, and showed him what he was capable of.

I'm pretty sure that nobody has pushed him hard in that way without him shutting down. Instead, he wanted more. For that, we will be forever grateful.

I will always, without hesitation, recommend both Elizabeth and/or Michael to anyone looking for a strong ACT/SAT tutor.”

“[Our daughter] said you were the hardest but best tutor she ever had.”

— ERIN C., parent

“The reason Elizabeth’s methods are successful is that they build a foundation. Her methods were not only targeted towards helping me tackle the test but also, Elizabeth’s methods allowed me to understand concepts that had once made no sense when I first learnt them as a freshmen.
My SAT score went up 460 points, all thanks to Elizabeth. ”
